Hey Friends,

As most of you know by now, I’ve announced that I’m running for Langley Township Council this coming October. This was not a quick decision for me.I’d been walking down this road for over a year.

Some of you have been close to that process.

Your support along the way has been so appreciated.

Whether you’ve encouraged me throughout my role on Council or getting there, financially or not - you’ve all played or expressed a significant part in my journey - Thank you!

Serving on Langley City Council has been something I’m genuinely grateful for. It gave me the chance to contribute, to learn, to get my feet firmly into municipal politics, and to understand the dynamics of local government from the inside.

At the same time, I’ll be honest, it has been difficult at times to sit on my Township hands while putting my hands to work in the City.  I’ve had to keep reminding myself to stay in my lane.

But now, as you know, I’m changing lanes.

There are a lot of reasons for that, and I look forward to sharing more with many of you personally. At the heart of it, for me, leadership comes down to creating an atmosphere of health.

Where there is health, there is healthy growth.

And Langley Township needs that.

Yes, we’ve grown in population. Everyone can see that. The TOL is planning to grow another 4,000 people a year over the next 25 years.

That represents a lot of work ahead ! We need to be effective, productive - people & resident focussed, fiscally prudent - with a positive business climate.

We need healthier relationships on Council. Better relationships across the region. Stronger trust with residents, neighbours, businesses, developers, community organizations, and the people who are trying to build their lives here.

We need leadership that can help bring the temperature down, not keep turning it up.

That’s why I’m running.

I know I can make a difference.

I’m running as an Independent - so no slate, no team politics, no one else’s agenda. I want to work with everyone around the table and help reduce the polarization we’ve seen.

I’m experienced. I’m not starting from scratch. I know how Council works, I understand the pressures, and I already have relationships in the community.

And I’m trusted. Not because I say that lightly, but because trust is the fruit of years of listening, showing up, supporting people, and trying to serve well.

So now the time has come.

I’m IN.

To be candid - being “IN” requires resources.

Financially, volunteers, and reaching out to a much larger community.

Many of you were gracious and generous in your financial support my last campaign.

Again - thank you

And now I’m coming back to ask if you would consider supporting me again — this time as I run to serve the Township.

To give some context, a serious campaign in Langley can easily cost $40,000 to $50,000. The maximum allowed is just over $60,000.

The two slates running in Langley will likely spend somewhere between $350,000 and $500,000.

If I sit with that too long, I could probably talk myself out of this.

But that’s not how I’m wired.

Those odds don’t intimidate me. Slate politics don’t intimidate me. And I believe there are a lot of people in Langley who are looking for something different — independent, experienced, trusted leadership.

Over the next three months, I’ll be hosting 3 or 4 fundraising events. You are more than welcome at any of them.

Honestly, your presence means a lot. It encourages me, and it helps others who may not know me yet. What you say about me will always speak louder than anything I can say about myself.

I also know everyone has different financial realities and commitments. So my ask is simple:

Would you consider supporting me?

The maximum allowable donation is $1,429.70 — LOL, BC Elections does like a strangely specific number — but truly, any amount would be deeply appreciated.

And truthfuly, the earlier the better, as I’m needing to make commitments soon for communications, printing, video production, and other campaign pieces.

My website is up now, so feel free to check me out a little more. ; )

If you have questions, please call me. I’d be happy to talk.

You can donate right here.

I can’t thank you enough for your friendship, support, confidence and trust.
Additionally - to stay connected and informed - either sign up on email or make sure we’re connected through Facebook or INSTAGRAM.

With so much appreciation!
