Experience isn’t a title.

It’s what’s lived.

For me, that’s 40+ years of REAL life.

Patti my wife and I - raising a family of 4 kids, business, Senior Pastoral ministry, community/social service, and most recently municipal leadership in the City.

Different arenas, one constant: PEOPLE.

So my path to public service wasn’t sudden. It was formed over decades almost 20 years in executive and operational roles, small business ownership, and 25 years in senior pastoral leadership. Building teams. Managing budgets. Navigating complexity. Walking with people through crisis and celebration.

Not for optics. Not for politics. Real life.

One of the driving forces behind my decision to run in 2022 in the city was frustration with the long-term neglect of social issues, especially homelessness.

I had seen it firsthand ; the human cost, the impact on community safety, local business, and taxpayers pockets.

I believed we needed leadership grounded in both compassion and accountability.

Since being elected, I’ve worked as an active, independent voice; collaborating across Council on housing, safety, governance, fiscal responsibility, and infrastructure. Always focused on outcomes that matter.

I’ve also taken that advocacy to Ottawa; meeting with federal leaders to push for Langley’s fair share of funding for housing, transit, infrastructure, and public safety.

Beyond Council, for 25 years I’ve been deeply engaged in Langley’s social sector ; partnering with agencies, supporting vulnerable populations, and helping lead initiatives like Kimz Angels, delivering practical support to those who need it most.

This isn’t theory. It’s experience.

Earned over time. Grounded in people and ready to serve the Township.
