I think Leadership, at its best, is simply what being trusted looks like in action.
There’s something people sense before they can explain it , a quiet read on a leader.
It’s not just what do they know or what have they done…
It’s who are they, really?
That question matters. And you deserve a clear answer , from me, and from every candidate.
Because we’ve all seen it , leaders who say one thing in one room, and something different in another. What gets lost isn’t just confidence in government… it’s confidence in the person.
Trust isn’t given to a title.
It’s earned by a person.
Slowly. Over time.
In ordinary moments.
Through how people are treated when there’s nothing to gain.
Through whether words hold and actions match them.
Through consistency , in public and in private.
Trust can be built over years… and lost in a moment.
That’s why it’s not protected in big decisions , it’s protected in the small ones, lived out daily.
For Patti and I, the last 30 years in Langley have simply been about showing up. In business, in ministry, in community, in relationships. Long before Council was ever on the radar.
What’s been built wasn’t built for a campaign.
It’s just a life lived here , with people I’m now asking to represent.
So don’t just take my word for it.
Talk to people; those who know me, who’ve worked with me.
Ask questions.
Then decide for yourself.
Because trust is personal.
In the end, it’s yours to give -
and it would be an honour to have your trust as I look to serve Langley Township on Council.
